UIW Libraries - Medical Library

The Medical Library serves the Osteopathic Medicine, Graduate Biomedical Sciences and Graduate Public Health learning communities. The library is located at the UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) on the Brooks City Base Campus in Building 3, on the 2nd floor. To access library resources off-campus, you need to sign in with your UIW username and password:

Circulating Technology

The Mabee Library located on the main UIW campus has digital devices available for check-out by all UIW students, faculty, and staff, including:

  • digital cameras
  • portable cd/dvd players

Library Access and Assistance

In-Person Access and Assistance

The Osteopathic Medicine Library is located on the 2nd floor of building 3 on the UIWSOM Brooks Campus. Library staff are available to assist students, staff, and faculty during operating hours.

Ask a Librarian Service

For research assistance when the Medical (Pharmacy, Optometry, etc.) Library is closed, you may contact a UIW Libraries librarian via chat, phone, or email through our Ask a Librarian Service. Hours of availability for Ask a Librarian may be found on the UIW Libraries homepage under Library Hours.

Conference Room & Group Study Rooms

Conference Room 2172 located within the Open Reading space on the 2nd floor is for Library Staff use only. Students are not allowed to use the conference room under any circumstances. There are eight group study rooms that are available on first come first served basis. See group study room policy for more information. 

Reference & Reserve Resources Policy

Items in the Reserve Collection have a limited checkout period and must remain on the 2nd floor. Reserve items are only available when circulation desk is staffed. 

  • reserve books (2 hours)
  • skeleton model (2 hours)
  • bone boxes (4 hours)

Reference Collection items are not available for checkout and must remain on the 2nd floor.
