ENGL 1311 - Composition I: Citing Your Sources

This guide identifies sources useful for completing assignments in Composition I.

Citing Sources

All the resources used to write a paper must be cited properly.  Your instructor will provide guidelines for using MLA (Modern
Language Association) style. You may be asked to use APA (American Psychological Association) style, as well.

Print copies of the handbook are available at the Reference Desk and can be used in the library.  You can find online help with the Citation Styles Research Guide.

Be Careful!!

Citations provided by our databases may be incorrect.  See this PDF for a citation generated by the Academic Search Complete
database; there is a spelling error, a capitalization error, and a spacing error.

UIW Writing and Learning Center

The UIW Writing and Learning Center assists undergraduate on-campus students with writing assignments at any stage in the writing process. Students may walk-into the WLC or make an appointment with a tutor. During mid-terms and finals, appointments are encouraged.
