Religious Studies: Books

This guide identifies useful resources on religion and religious studies.

Locating Books

The UIW Libraries have an extensive collection of books about Catholicism, the Bible, and world religions.  Locate books using the Advanced Search box under the Books + tab in the NestSearch box on the library's web page.

Using the Book Catalog to Find Books About a Particular Book in the Bible

Many books in the Bible have names that are common in everyday English usage.  For example, Job.  There is the Biblical book titled Job, the main character is named Job, many people have a job, Steve Jobs was the visionary leader of Apple, etc.

This tutorial provides instruction on locating books about specific books in the Bible.

Using the Browse Feature in the Book Catalog

The book catalog includes a browse feature.  Follow these steps to access it.

When you find a title that interests you, click the title link for the book.
