Clarion Team: Writing & Citing

AMA Citation Style

The UIW School of Physical Therapy primarily uses the AMA Manual of Style.   AMA citation style was created by the American Medical Association in 1962. It's now widely used for citing sources in medical and scientific research. It was originally created to specify the writing style for AMA publications.

The newest version of the APA Publication Manual is the 7th edition. It is available in all of the UIW Libraries and you may also find it in other academic and public libraries. You may also use reliable online sources, the best being those from APA directly at APAStyle.org.

The Publication Manual (7th ed.) is available as an ebook on Kindle, RedShelf, and VitalSource. The Concise Guide to APA Style (7th ed.) is also available as an ebook on Kindle, RedShelf, and VitalSource.
