What is OER?

Open Educational Resources (OER) is defined by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as:

...any type of educational materials that are in the public domain or introduced with an open license. The nature of these open materials means that anyone can legally and freely copy, use, adapt and re-share them. OERs range from textbooks to curricula, syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, tests, projects, audio, video and animation.

OER for Business

OpenStax-Business
OpenStax is a part of Rice University and includes free peer-reviewed openly licensed textbooks for Business and Social Sciences. Within Business, you can find the following subjects: Accounting, Ethics, Management, Statistics, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior and Law. Within Social Sciences you can find textbooks on Economics.
Open Textbook Library-Business
The Open Textbook Library is supported by The Center for Open Education through the University of Minnesota's College of Education and Human Development. The Business tab includes the following subjects: Human Resources, Management and Marketing. There are separate tabs for the following subjects: Accounting, Finance and Economics.
