What is a permalink? It is "A hyperlink to a web page whose content is expected to remain the same over time." (The Oxford English Dictionary, retrieved 8 August 2019)
Why should you use a permalink? Permalinks comply with copyright law and should be used in lieu of PDFs or actual images from library databases. This guide will help you locate and/or create permalinks to electronic library content.
Most of our databases include a permalink for articles or allow users to create permalinks if one is not provided. Use the tabs at the top of this guide to locate instructions - some tabs are for database vendors (EBSCOhost, ProQuest) and others are for specific databases.
