Do the UIW Libraries Have This?: When Material Is Not Available at UIW

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) is a free service.  

• Books are delivered to the Mabee Library for pickup.
• Scanned images of articles are delivered to your ILLiad account.
• Ask about other types of borrowing

Set up an account using the Interlibrary Loan link under Quick Links on the library's Web site.  Use your Blackboard/e-mail username and password to log in.

Apply for a TexShare card at the library reference desk.  This is a free service that allows you to check out a limited number of items from other academic libraries in Texas who participate in the TexShare borrowing program..  Check the TexShare Web site for more information on this program.

NOTE:  All materials checked out with a TexShare card must be returned to the proper library by the user.  As this is a "direct borrower" program, the UIW libraries cannot return borrowed materials for users.

The WorldCat database is a "who owns/subscribes to what" resource.  Use this database and its Libraries Worldwide links to learn which libraries have the materials you need.
