Brackenridge Pharmacy Library: UT Health

The following is a selective list of resources that focus on the curriculum and interests of the students and faculty of the Feik School of Pharmacy.

UT Health Libraries

Please note that public access to the UT Health Libraries may be restricted by the institution's COVID policies.  We suggest that you call the library on the San Antonio campus before attempting to utilize their resources.

Where is it?

The Dolph Briscoe, Jr. library is located at 7703 Floyd Curl Drive. The  library contact number is (210) 567-2400.

UT Health San Antonio Libraries

The UT Health San Antonio Libraries are a great resource for pharmacy students. As a library dedicated to health-related research, they offer many resources that UIW cannot:

  • Books - With a TexShare card (available at the reference desk) you are allowed to check out books at the UT Health San Antonio library
  • Articles - By visiting the UT Health San Antonio library in-person you can use the library databases to search for journal articles. 

If you need help preparing your search before visiting tthe Dolph Briscoe, Jr. Library here in San Antonio, Ms. Levy can help you. Alternatively, you can use this page to determine what materials their library has. Unfortunately, you will not be able to access their databases or most other e-resources from off-campus.

The History of Medicine Collection

If your research interest includes a historical aspect, you may want to visit the P.I. Nixon Medical Historical Library.  This resource is located on the 5th floor of the Briscoe Library.  The use of the Nixon Library requires an appointment, and the Library is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Monday - Friday.  There is no evening or weekend use of this resource.
