HIST 4341 - Tabit - Spring 2023: Using Bibliographies

Bibliographies

Using bibliographies/works cited pages in books and articles is one of the best ways to find additional material on your topic.  This tutorial shows you how to determine if the UIW Libraries have access to items listed in a bibliography.

Text via Google Scholar

Google Scholar may have the text of articles - type the article title in the search box.  To force Google Scholar to search the article title as a phrase, enclose it in quotation marks.

Better:  Use the Advanced Search Function, typing the article title in the exact phrase box.

WorldCat

The WorldCat database is a "who owns/subscribes to what" resource.  Use this database and its Libraries Worldwide links to learn which libraries have the materials you need.
