Spring 2012 - Welcome

Composition I is a writing-intensive class in which students are introduced to information literacy concepts. 

Information literacy is best defined in terms of the individual:  Someone who is information literate is a life-long learner who realizes when information is needed and has the ability to find, retrieve, evaluate, and ethically use information.

The library's electronic resources (eBooks, databases, and journals) can be used 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Log in with your student Blackboard/student e-mail username and password.

 

Required Textbooks

This course has two required textbooks, both available at the UIW Bookstore (fourth floor of the McCombs Center).

Water & Culture Reader - this text is free but bookstore staff must see a copy of your class schedule.
